Funeral services for Roy Mitchell, 76, of Many, were held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Truman Leach and Rev. Louis Slaughter officiating. Burial followed in the Warren Cemetery.
Roy Mitchell was born on Saturday, February 17, 1945 in Many. He passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence in Many.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tony Lynn Procell (Bubba); father and mother, Oda and Dona Mitchell; brothers, Oda L. Mitchell (Buddy) and Louis Ray Mitchell; and sisters, Etoyce Mitchell; Loretta Helms; Sharlet Gates.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sue Mitchell of Many; daughter, Annette Blocker of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter, Trish Procell and husband Tony of Many; son, Roy Mitchell, Jr. and wife Melissa of Fort Jessup; grandchildren, Jonothon Mitchell of Atlanta, Georgia; Jeremy Procell of Leesville; Josh Mitchell of Many; and Cameron Mitchell of Many; 4 1/2 great grandchildren; loving sisters, Ruthie Mae Jones of Franklin, Louisiana; Yvonne Jones of Ida, Louisiana; Dianne Jones of Noble; and Romona Gail Martinez of Giddings, Louisiana; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: Jeremy Procell, Josh Mitchell, Cameron Mitchell, Chad Santos, Scott Gates, and Jonothon Mitchell.
