Funeral services for Jackie Rivers, 62, of Zwolle, were held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Jackie Rivers was born on Monday, November 3, 1958 in Lake Charles. He passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Shreveport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carson Rivers and Elaine (Sepulvado) Rivers; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Audrey Torres; brothers-in-law, Harold Dew; Ernest DeWayne Torres; nephew, Kenny Joe Torres; nieces, Shae Colston and Shonda Torres.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Faye Torres Rivers of Zwolle; special pet, Charlie; sister, Pamela Rivers of Ebarb; brothers, Randall Rivers and wife Éva of Shreveport; Jerry Rivers of Noble; Rod Rivers and wife Billie of Ebarb; Robin Rivers and wife Debbie of Zwolle; Benjie Rivers and wife Carol of Ebarb; David Rivers and wife Denise of Zwolle; Tim Rivers and wife Tammy of Shreveport; Tom Rivers and wife Amelia of Ebarb; Barry Rivers and wife Kari of Ebarb; Christopher Rivers and wife Christy of Belmont; brother-in-law, Kenny Torres and wife Noel of Zwolle; sisters-in-law, Janet Sepulvado of Noble; Sherry Dew of Many; Peggy Torres of Shreveport; two special God-children, Dalton Laroux and Haley Meshell; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
