Funeral services honoring the life of Charles Smith were held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield. Officiating the service was Rev. Chucky Clark.
Nubbin was born on November 5, 1935 in Converse to Elvin Marvin Smith and Mildred Rachel Webb Smith. He entered into eternal rest on February 14, 2021 in Converse.
Nubbin is preceded by his parents, Elvin and Mildred Smith; brother, Morris Estes; and his sister, Shirley Smith. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Arlene Smith of Converse; sons, Richard Smith and wife Delila of Converse; Steve Smith of Ivey, Georgia; step-sons, Tommy Dill and wife Pam of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Don French and wife Angie of Rockwall, Texas; daughter, Belinda Scrantz and husband Kevin of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; step-daughter, Donisa Page and husband Paul of Slidell; brother, Fred Smith and wife Loretta of Bossier City; along with 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 greatgreat grandchildren.
Honoring Nubbin as pallbearers were Cody Smith, Justin Smith, Hunter Smith, Bruce Smith, Stanley Adams, and Bradley Adams. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Paul Wilson, Roy Smith, Ray Smith, and Wayne Carter.
