Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Timothy Rivers were held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Francis Kamau officiating; interment immediately followed in the church cemetery. T. D. was born June 26,1964 in Zwolle to Elzado (Sepulvado) Rivers and Robert O. Rivers and he entered into rest on January 20, 2021 in Shreveport.

He was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather who always put his family first. His faith was as big as his heart! He never met a stranger, was a friend to all and was a great Christian man. T. D. took pride in everything he did; no matter if it was a logging job he was working on or preparing a loving meal for family and friends. You could always find him helping others in their time of need and/or working for his church and community.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Rivers; sister, Bobbie Ann Ezernack; brothers, Benny “Dude” Rivers; Terry “Cheese” Rivers; and his brothers-in-law, Rudolph Ezernack; and Billy R. Ezernack. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Darlene (Ebarb) Rivers; sons, Kirt Rivers and wife, Brittany of Zwolle; Trevor Rivers and wife, Taylor of Noble; daughters, Tiffany Craig and husband, Michael of Zwolle; Trisha Moore and husband, Patrick of Belmont; sisters, Kay L. Ezernack of Zwolle; Brenda Carter and husband, Doug of Keithville; Janice Lewis and husband, Randy of Zwolle; Gloria Carrier and husband, Mike of Eunice, Louisiana; brothers, Howard Rivers of Zwolle; Larry Rivers and wife, Sandra of Zwolle; Joe Rivers and wife, Shirley of Many; Roger Dale Rivers of Zwolle; father-in-law, Richard T. (Scooter) Ebarb of Noble; sister-in-laws, Wanda Rivers; Jane Rivers of Zwolle; he also has 13 grandchildren that were the loves of his life. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Honoring him as pallbearers were Lance Rivers, Delayne Rivers, Dakota Rivers, Josh Lewis, Waylon Laroux, Preston Rivers, Dayton Craig, and Cord Ezernack. His honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.

The family would like to thank the amazing hospital staff at Christus Highland Hospital, Dr. Scott Howard, Dr. Jeffrey German, Dr. Meghan Harris, and Kindred at Home in Natchitoches.

In conclusion the family would like to remind everyone to please wear their mask while paying their respects at the visitation and at the funeral. Also, they ask to please not bring food to the funeral home due to Covid-19 restrictions.
