Donald Dudley Muncy – loving husband, father, and friend – died December 13, 2020. He was 84 years old. He was born December 14, 1935 in Laird Hill, Texas to Wilburn Dudley and Mildred Ethel Reed Muncy. Educated at Jeanerette High School and University of Southwestern Louisiana. After a successful career in the oil and gas industry and traveling the world with Miss Ann, he retired to Toledo Bend in Many, Louisiana where he enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing and golfing. A devout member of the Zwolle United Methodist Church, he served the Lord sharing his talents in church callings that shaped and defined him. He will be remembered for his love of family, his entertaining stories, his powerful testimony, and willingness to help a neighbor in need.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Trimble Muncy; son, James Dudley Muncy; his parents; and son-in-law, Johnny Logan Vines. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his sister, Gloria Muncy Sparks (husband Perry Sparks); his children, Teri Ann Muncy Halverson (husband Duane); Donna Faye Muncy Doise; and Sandra Marie Muncy Vines; his grandchildren, Ashley Ann Doise Bacca (husband Chris Bacca); Travis Duane Halverson (wife Farra Fraser); Kelsey Lee Halverson Sandlin (husband Zachary Sandlin); Loudan Matthew Vines; and Jason David Vines; great-grandchildren, Christopher Randolph Bacca, Jr.; Olivia Ann Bacca; Ellis Duane Halverson; Hattie Ann Halverson; and Elijah Nicholas Sandlin; and many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
