Funeral services for Shirley Stewart, 93, of Florien, will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Warren and Rev. Wayne Chance officiating. Burial followed in the Florien Cemetery.
Shirley Jean Stewart was born on Monday, July 25, 1927 in Florien. She passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Sabine Medical Center in Many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace C. Stewart; parents, William Hines Hardin and Essie (Lee) Hardin; sons, Jimmy Stewart and Douglas Stewart; son-in-law, David Law; sisters, Thelma Miller; Willie May Along; Flo Howard; Reba Parrot; Marie Whittington; Hazel Hildenbrand; and her brothers, Ottis Hardin; Harold Hardin; Wilburn Hardin; Leeman Hardin.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Law of Taylor, Arkansas; Susie Sculthorpe and husband Greg of Florien; sister, Margie Brogdon of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: Dan Hardin, Buddy Hardin, Clint Sparks, Richard Rushing, Clayton Rushing and Jimmy Thaxton.
Honorary Pallbearers: Greg Sculthorpe, Matt Sculthorpe and John Whittington.
