On the morning of October 20th, 2020, Robert Sepulvado passed away peacefully at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport, where he was continuously being visited and comforted by family members.

Most commonly referred to as “Rabbit” or “Rab” for short by friends and family, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Catherine; sister, Charlene Manshack; grandson, Matthew Bryant; and godson, R. G. Ferguson.

Summing up the life of a man like Rabbit is a large feat. So, let’s start with the facts. He was born on October 17, 1948 to the aforementioned, Bryant “Charlie” and Catherine (Ebarb) Sepulvado along with three brothers. They are: Joseph “Joe” Sepulvado (m. Debbie), Ronnie “Mook” Sepulvado (m. Barbara), and David “Coon” Sepulvado. Shortly after graduating from Zwolle High School, he joined the United States Army in which he served from 1969 until 1971. For work, he started at Boise Cascade in Florien, where he would stay for 31 years. And in 1978 he would begin dating the woman he would spend the rest of his life with, Pamela Jane (Ferguson) Sepulvado. They would later marry on May 5, 1980. Pam and Rab would go on to raise two sons and three daughters together: Richard Sepulvado, Stephanie “Tootie” Sepulvado, Daniel “Bull” Sepulvado, Bessie Sepulvado, and Mollie Jane Sepulvado. He had previously been blessed with two additional daughters, Kimberly “Kim” Sepulvado and Kristy Sepulvado. Rabbit and Pam also had four godchildren: Brad Ferguson, Brittney Miller, Matea Whittington and Kamron Sepulvado. His kids were his greatest love, as well as the 16 grandchildren that he would eventually gain. Many of whom, you could catch him occasionally brag about.

Rab was an avid sports fan, who loved going to cheer on his grandkids in their respective sports. His absolute favorite, though, would definitely be softball. He played himself, and there are rumors that he was a real star player. He also loved animals, which is proven by the massive amounts of farm animals that he owned throughout his life. Chickens; Pigs; Guineas; Horses; Ducks; a little bit of everything actually. And he took the best care of each and every one of them.

For those that were lucky enough to know him and be loved by him, you now carry on a piece of a man that never had anything but care and understanding to share. He brought comfort to anyone and everyone around him. There was always room at his table for anyone that needed a helping hand or a broad shoulder to lean on. He left the world better than when he found it. That’s his legacy.

Funeral services were held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Keith Garvin officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery.
