Funeral services for Kenneth Martinez, 71, of Florien, were held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Father Francis Kamau, Deacon Mike Sullivan and David McConathy officiating. Burial followed in the Prospect Cemetery.
Kenneth Patrick Martinez was born on Friday, June 3, 1949 in Converse. He passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Granvil Lee “Chooch” Martinez and Catherine Sepulvado Martinez; wife, Kathryn Elaine Martinez; brother, A. T. “B B” Martinez; and his brother-in-law, Charles Harris.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth Bernard Martinez and wife Misty of Many; Chadwick Lee Martinez and wife April of Natchitoches; and Teresa McConathy and husband David of Anacoco; brothers, G. J. “Pie” Martinez and wife Gatha of Zwolle; and Eddie Martinez and wife Carrie of Zwolle; sister, Ann Harris of Pace, Florida; sister-in-law, Nannette Martinez of Shreveport; grandchildren, Aimee Ward of Anacoco; Haley Haymon of Anacoco; Shelbie Martinez of Many; Kirsten Martinez of Many; and Preston Martinez of Natchitoches; great grandchildren, Victoria Reece Haymon; Kylie Cheyenne Haymon; and Eastyn Lee Ward; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers: Tye Haymon, James Curtis, Jeffery Martinez, Keith Martinez, Mark Martinez and Kevin Martinez.
