Funeral services honoring the life of Thomas Ott, 80, were held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Spring Ridge Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill with Rev. Ricky Wead officiating. Assisting the service will be Bro. Jonathan McManus. Interment followed at Spring Ridge Cemetery.
T.J. was born on June 6, 1940 in Pleasant Hill to Thomas and Tulsa Ott. He entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2020 in Converse.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Tom and Tulsa Ott; wife, Mary Alice Ott; brothers, Melton, Marvin, and Azell Ott; sisters, Lillie Youngblood and Judy Hippler; granddaughter, Holly Mathews.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Ott and sons, Benny Ott and James Ott of Mitchell; daughters, Sheila Mitchell and husband Vernon of Mansfield; Becky Folden and husband Terry of Natchitoches; Nita Butler and husband Lonnie of Pleasant Hill; and Jeanie Rains and husband Wayne of Pleasant Hill; sisters, Lucille Rivers and Deborah Ott; brothers, Robert Ott and Franklin Ott; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren by love and heart, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Honoring T.J. as pallbearers were Cody Hippler, Justin Rains, Skylar Waddle, Mico Santiago, Billy Joe Blankenship, and Bobby Waddle.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were Roger Rains, Wayne Rains, Vernon Mitchell, Terry Folden, John Matthews, Benny Ott and James Ott.
