Oren Ellzey “Skip” Martin, Jr. was born October 21,1946 in Natchitoches to Oren and Gretchen Martin, Sr. and entered into rest on January 23, 2019. Funeral services were held January 26 at Beulah Baptist Church Many. Officiating was the Rev. Kenneth Leach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gretchen Martin; grandson, Alex Post; and great grandson, Brooks Post.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Rogers Martin, of Many; daughters, Natalie Martin and Renee Martin both of Shreveport and, Bree Pilkington, and husband, Steven, of Many; and left behind to love and miss their Pops are his grandchildren, Michael Coile, Eric Post, Tanner Wilson, Rylie Martin, Kaiya Causey, and Logan Pilkington; along with Brooklynn Hill his only great grandchild.
Honoring him as pallbearers were Tanner Wilson, Eric Post, Kerwin Alexander, Chris Brandon, Joe Eidson, and Steven “Pilk” Pilkington. Honorary pallbearers were Stan Knotts, Patrick Knotts, Dane Baker, Mike Baker, and Jerry Sparks.
