Memorial services to honor Edward Lee Harris, Jr., 63, of Noble, were held December 27 at Noble Baptist Church conducted by Bro. Jimmy Price, pastor with Masonic Funeral Rites officiated by Bro. David Miller, District Deputy Grand Lecturer. Mr. Harris passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 following a brief illness.

A longtime resident of Sabine Parish and well known throughout the community, he had helped many through his work as an officer with Peoples State Bank and later as an insurance agent with Louisiana Farm Bureau and had been active in numerous civic organizations and the Masonic Lodge. He was a 1973 graduate of Springhill High School; Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, in 1977; and the LSU School of Banking of the South, Baton Rouge, in 1984. Recently retired, he spent his time enjoying his family He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. Harris Sr. and Lola Mae Harris and brother, James Shelby Harris.

Left to honor his memory are his wife, Vicky Harris of Noble; daughter, Sarah Lea Anne Harris Mann and husband, Blake, of Converse; granddaughters, Blaklee Elizabeth Mann and Teegan Grace Mann; son, Edward Lee Harris III and wife, Kim, of Zwolle, and Colby, Abby and Stormi Parrie; brothers, Michael Barnes Harris and wife, Peggy, of Shreveport, and William Alan Harris and wife, Annita, of Littleton, Colorado; nieces, Lindsey Harris and her daughter, Penny and Staci Harris O’Neill and husband, Dennis all of Littleton, Colorado, Angela Harris Brakeville and her husband, Clayton of Shreveport, and their daughters, Shelby Anne Brakeville and Caroline Brakeville; Mrs. Bert Harris of Springhill; nephew, James Lee Harris and wife, Shannon, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and their daughter, Sutton Grace Harris; along with family and friends.

The family requests that donations to honor his memory be to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Shriners Hospital for Children.
