    Graveside services for Eugene “Gene” Paul Kavanagh, 78, of Robeline were held January 23 at St John the Baptist Cemetery with the Rev. Ernie Rains officiating. He was born Tuesday, April 4, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York, and passed away at his residence Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Robeline. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Kavanagh and Edith Cunningham Kavanagh; first wife, Peggy Kavanagh; and sister, Ruth Lancson. He is survived by his wife, Judy Gibson Kavanagh of Robeline; children, Eugene Kavanagh and Margaret LaCour and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Brandon Kavanagh, Kyle Heard, MaryMae Kavanagh, Erin Kavanagh, Destane Kavanagh, Miranda Kavanagh and Bradley LaCour; great grandchildren, Rebecca Vallery, Rylan Lacey, Kamden Vallery, Lydia Thibedeaux, Elsa Ritterback, JahLena White, Brookelyn White, Jason Rivers and Rhett LaCour; niece, Donna Trask; along with a host of friends.
