Sylvia Sherwood

Funeral services honoring the life of Sylvia Sherwood, 77, were held November 12 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Oak Grove with the Reverends Ricky McDonald and Troy Terrell officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove. She was born October 13, 1940 to Fred and Erma Deason and entered into rest November 8, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Hugh” Sherwood; father, Fred Deason; mother and step-father, Erma Mae Smith and Calvin Smith; sisters, Brenda Tholborn and her husband Bill, and Betty Jean Peterson; sister-in-law, Ruby Deason; and sons-in-law, Jack Watson and Bobby Wayne Raborn. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jimmy Sherwood and wife, Machelle, of Carthage, Texas; daughters, Patti Dejean and husband, Gary, of Anacoco, Karen Rambin and husband, Anthony, of Evelyn, Dottie Adkison and husband, Boyd, of Mansfield, and Bonnie Raborn of Sibley; brothers, Bill Deason of Mansfield and Charles Smith and wife, Margaret; sisters, Vicki Michelli and husband, Tommy, and Brenda Mason and husband, Tommy; sister-in- law, Ann Terrell and husband, “Jr.”; grandchildren, Angel Eaves, Derek Laffitte, Casey Files and husband, Justin, Robby Raborn and wife, Danielle, Chelsie Sherwood, Cole Adkison and wife, Jamie, Sheldon Sherwood, Shelby Laffitte, Ashley Rambin, and Cheyenne Sherwood; great grandchildren, Brayden Laffitte, Bryson Laffitte, Memphis Raborn, Brody Files, Phoenix Raborn, Nolan Files, Ava Adkison, Addie Raborn, and Wesley Adkison. Honoring as pallbearers were Derek Laffitte, Robby Raborn, Cole Adkison, Sheldon Sherwood, Justin Files, and Jeff Webster. Thank you to Superior Hospice for being so wonderful to our mom and family.
