A service to honor the life of Mrs. Marguerite Ellen Wyatt Montelongo was held October 19 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Burial followed at Pisgah Cemetery near Marthaville. Mrs. Montelongo, 83 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born October 28, 1933, to Carl Wyatt, Sr. and Ethel Nancy Moore Wyatt in Marthaville. She worked for many years at Nichols in Many. A strong and caring woman, she was deeply rooted in her faith. A member of First Baptist in Natchitoches, she enjoyed fellowship with her church family. She will be dearly missed but always remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Michael Todd Franks; and her siblings, Carl Wyatt, Jr. and his wife, Bobbie, Gene Wyatt and Charles Glenn Wyatt. She is survived by her husband, Fernando Montelongo; children, Jeff Franks and wife, Patricia, and Regina Trichel and husband, Rickey; siblings, Delores Lewing, Ronald Wyatt and wife, Betty, and Donald Wyatt and wife, Vickie; and sister-in-law, Myra Wyatt. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Joseph Uribe, Heather Hinds, Haley Franks, and Jeffrey Franks, Jr.; as well as two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
