On Wednesday, October 10, 2017, Estel “Buddy” Eugene Brown, Jr. husband, father, son and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 52 years. Buddy, better known as “Ten Penny” to his friends, will be forever be remembered for his contagious smile, caring nature and strong work ethic. Born April 22, 1965 in Palm Beach, Florida, he was preceded in death by his parents, Estel Brown, Sr. and Sharon Diane Brown, and father-in-law, Bobby Lee Cooper. Buddy spent most of his life doing what he loved most: driving a big rig, currently driving for Moran (MTI) Trucking, of Robeline. He was a member of Fisher Baptist Church. He survived by his wife and best friend, Louella Cooper Brown, of Florien; children, Huey Brown of Deridder, Dale Bridges and wife, Alicia, of Florien, Tonia Bridges Self of Many, and Clint Bridges of Nashville, Kansas; favorite people in the world, grandchildren, Demi Martinez, Zach Bridges, Andrew Fishback, Gus Bridges, Josh Bridges, Matthew Miller, Alissa Bridges, Austin (Kaitlyn) Parrish, Camryn Bridges and Victoria Carroll; great grandson Connor Alford and baby Rubar, due April 2018; and mother-in-law, Louise Cooper of Florien. Buddy will also be forever remembered by his brothers, Gregg Brown of Lakewood, Colorado and Thomas Brown of Texas; uncle, Frank “Dickie” Coffman; aunts, Kay Sanders, Dee Wright and Joyce Fry, all of Indiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Honoring Buddy as pallbearers were Dale Bridges, Clint Bridges, Huey Brown, Gary Blasé, Doyle Sandifer, Frank “Uncle Dickie” Coffman and Willie Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Miller, his family at Moran Trucking and his grandchildren Services were held October 18 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, in Many, with Bro. John Lewing officiating. Burial followed at Florien Cemetery in Florien.
