Going Home Services for Audrey Colston, 97, of Many, were held October 17 at Fort Jesup Baptist Church with the Rev. George Treutlein officiating. Burial followed in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery. She was born August 31, 1920, and was a life long resident of Ft. Jessup. She passed away October 14, 2017 at Sabine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Many. Her family was by her side. She was 97 years, 44 days at the time of her departing. Mrs. Colston was a member of Fort Jessup Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Ray Colston and wife, Barbara, of Many and Howard Dewayne Colston and wife, Velva, of Greenwood; sister, Maybelle Jordan of Shreveport.; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Dewitt Colston; parents, Daniel and Josephine Dees; sister, Ollie Marshall; and brothers, James and Curtis Dees. Pallbearers were Luke Pearson, Alan Colston, Dave Kaufman, Wayne Colston, Allen Brouillette and Robert Brouillette. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
