Funeral services for Rose Janette Thaxton, 75, of Fisher were held September 19 at Many Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Daniel Lowe officiating. Burial followed in the Lewing Chapel Cemetery. She was born Tuesday, December 9, 1941 in Leesville and passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Highland Hospital in Shreveport. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Ivalee Withers; grandson, Cody Anthony; and brother-in-law, Mackie Thaxton. She is survived by her daughters, Angie Lewing and husband, Jeff, of Many, and Kim Anthony and husband, Tim, of Florien; grandchildren, Amber and Michael Leach of Florien, Laquin and Morgan Pickett of Converse, Hunter and Sabrina Lewing of Many, and Ty Anthony of Florien; great grandchildren, Aubree, Asa, Landri, Gage, Walker, Tate, Blaze, and Chandler; brothers, David Withers and wife, Cricket, of Florien and James Withers of Fisher; sisters, Barbara Thaxton of Fisher, and Brenda Windham and husband, Roy, of Grand Cane; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
