A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Brenda DuBois was held June 11 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Claude Weatherford officiating. Burial followed at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood. Brenda, 65 years of age and a resident of Many, passed away June 6, 2017. She was born on December 6, 1951. She was the daughter of John Norman Rachal, Sr. and Shirley Norsworthy Rachal and lived in Natchitoches for many years. Brenda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northwestern State University and taught at L.P. Vaughn for many years. She took pleasure in being a positive influence and shaping the minds of all her students. A member of Central Baptist Church in Robeline, she enjoyed fellowship with her church family. Brenda was an avid traveler; she always enjoyed exploring new places. Most importantly she loved her family and valued spending time with her husband, children, siblings, grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten and we take comfort in the fact that we will be reunited with her one day in heaven. She is survived by her husband, Danny DuBois; children, Tamara Jones and husband, Danny, Alisa Yelverton, Russell Yelverton and wife, Kelly, and Susan DuBois; grandchildren, Clay Yelverton, Courtney Yelverton, Callie DuBois, Cole Yelverton, and Aidan Weeks; great-granddaughter, Macy Stoker; siblings, John Norman Rachal, Jr., Charles Netz, and Debbie Bradley; as well as many friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers included Ronnie DuBois, Randy DuBois, Chris DuBois, Brent Jones, Joey Mizell, Gregg Ferguson, Mike Paige, Johnny Kay, Bart Cotton, and Brett Snyder. Honorary pallbearers were Rex Snyder and Charles Jones.
