Funeral services for Winston Lynn Weldon, 68, of Florien were held March 5 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Airhart officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
He was born on Saturday, December 4, 1948 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Natchitoches.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Ray Weldon and Donna Henderson Weldon; one brother; and son, Caleb Weldon.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Weldon of Florien; sons, Christopher Len Weldon of Florien, David Fitch of Florien, Daniel Eugene Fitch of Florien, Clancey Jason Weldon and wife, Chantee, of Palmer, Texas, Thomas Benjamin Kennedy and wife, Stacy, of Many and Jarod Ray Weldon of Florien; daughters, Carrie Denise Sandel and husband, Dan, of Florien and Cassie Deon Weldon of Florien; sister, Gwen Koss and husband, Marion, of Many; brothers, Philip Weldon and wife, Peggy, of Madisonville, Texas and Sparky Weldon and wife, Margaret, of Shreveport; 13 grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Mark Stewart, Wesley Ryals, Andrew Ryals, Kip DeLatin, Tom Burnett, Jason Holcomb, Paul Swindle, and Charles Clegg.
Honorary pallbearers were Gerry Barnhill, Marion Koss and David E. Nichols
