Funeral services honoring the life of Jimmie James Small, 85, were held December 15 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Zwolle with Father Richard Norsworthy, Father Mike Thang’wa, and Father Francis Kamall officiating. Burial followed in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Jimmie was born February 4, 1931 to Leslie Small of Many and Tula Remedies of Zwolle and went to meet the Lord on December 1, 2016 with his loving wife of 63 years, Thelma Ezernack Small, at his side. His pride and joy was his wife and the love for his church. He attended St. John’s in Many for over 30 years, then went to work at St. Ann’s in Ebarb for about 10 years. He came back to original St. Joseph. He served as usher and Eucharist Minister this entire time. In 2004 he and Thlma receive the Diocesan Medal Award. Most of his career was sent at Nehi Bottling Company, Rose-Neath Funeral Home and St. Ann’s Church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Thelma Ezernack Small; special cousin, Dorothy Schevers of Shreveport; special friends, Father Kenneth Williams of Many, DeLane Ebarb of Zwolle, Dr’s Cyriac and Leela Luke of Plaquemine, and a host of relatives and friends. Honoring Jimmie as pallbearers were DeLane Ebarb, Terry Ebarb, Alan Roberts, Jerry Ezernack, Patrick Ezernack, and Alan Sepulvado
