    Funeral services for Kevin “Bubba Joe” Joseph Brown, 17, of Florien, were held December 3 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Toro Community, with the Reverends Gary Dupuy, Jimmie Evans, and Jason Kees officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Kevin Brown was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1999 in Shreveport. He passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Florien. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Hilda Brown and uncle, “Big Joe” Joseph K. Brown. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Sharon Brown of Florien; sisters, Brittney Jordan and husband, Daniel, of Florien, Shelby Brown of Florien and Regan Brown of Florien; maternal grandparents, Gary and Bobbie Dupuy of Many; uncles, Keith Brown of Many, David Brown of Many, and Jon Dupuy of Many; special aunts and uncles, Jody and Pam Squillini of Florien, Ryan and Geri Alford of Florien, and Meredith Durrett of Horbeck; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and friends. Pallbearers were Kris Dees, Brady Browning, Ty Thaxton, Tanner Browning, Colby Withers, Mason Phillips, Matthew Dailey, Caleb Thompson, Austin Rubar, and Dayton Brown Honorary pallbearers were Peyton Parker, Paxton Parker, Colton Squillini, Trent Leach, Daniel Jordan, Carlee Squillini, and Jared Knippers.
