Marion Lee Fowler, born December 24, 1927 in Alva, Oklahoma, died in his home in Converse on November 14, 2016. Marion was a Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a barber for over 60 years and made many friends over the years. Marion was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was loved and respected by many hunting and fishing buddies. He is preceded in death by his parents William Alonzo Fowler and Pearl May; sister, Pauline Davis; and brothers, Clarence Fowler, William “Billy” Fowler and John Fowler. He is survived by his wife, Janette Bailey Fowler of 57 years; sons, Rodney Fowler and wife, Jeanette, and Dale Fowler and wife, Kandy; sisters, Rowena Bynum, and Dorothy Carroll; grandchildren, Rodney “Bubba” Fowler and wife, Stevie, Stacy Fowler and Aaron Amelung, and Melissa and husband, Shayne Andrew; step grandsons, Jason Harrison and wife, Jessica, and Jeremy Harrison and wife, Brandy; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Fowler, Ryleigh Fowler, Devan Fowler, Dylan Fowler, Noah Andrew and Addisyn Andrew; step great grandchildren, Gabrielle Harrison, Ahna Harrison, Dawn Harrison, Kassania Harrison, and Colton Ruiz; a host of family and friends; and his wonderful church family at Union Springs Baptist Church.
