Funeral services for Leona “MorMor” Galley Rushing, 90, of Many, were held November 9 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Glen Hardy and Bishop Jared Vincent officiating. Burial followed in the Bayou Scie Cemetery. Leona Rushing was born on Friday, September 24, 1926 in Vernal, Vermont. She passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her residence in Many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Leon Galley and Alice Nancey Dickson Galley; husband, Kenneth Rushing Sr.; sister, Darlene Brown; and brothers, Sheldon Galley and Sharrell Galley. She is survived by her children, Mari Rushing Collis and husband, Brad, of Wyoming, Kenneth “Ray” Rushing Jr. and wife, Debbie, of Louisiana, Donald Gene Rushing and wife, Karen, of Virginia, and Patricia Ann Rushing Jones and husband, Jody, of Louisiana; sisters, Erva Harris of California and Kay Johnson and husband, Pierre, of Colorado; brothers, Dallas Galley of Wyoming and Dale Galley of Utah; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
