    Funeral services for the Rev. Brooks Coburn, 68, of Florien, were held on Saturday, November 5 at The Life Church in Many with the Reverends Jim Manning and Kevin Cox officiating. Burial followed in the Florien Cemetery. The Rev. Coburn was born on Tuesday, September 21, 1948 in Mansfield. He passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Willis Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobin O. Coburn and Marjorie Anita Goss Coburn and his son, Jonathan Coburn. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Coburn of Florien; daughter, Rebecca Barker and husband, Derek, of Bossier City; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
