Funeral services for Kenneth “Knip” Knippers, 79, of Robeline, were held October 29 at Friendship Church of the Nazarene with the Reverends James Ericson and Leon Manshack, and Deacon Scott Manuel officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Nazarene Cemetery. Knip was born on Sunday, November 15, 1936 in Robeline. He passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Many Health Care North in Many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Bessie Mathews Knippers and son, Kenneth Raymond Knippers. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Darlene Knippers of Robeline; son, Kevin Knippers of Robeline; daughter, Kristie LaGrange and husband, Davy, of Many; brother, Benny Knippers and wife, Karla, of Robeline; grandsons, Tony Knippers and wife, Kirstin, of Haughton and David LaGrange of Many; granddaughter, Christian LaGrange of DeRidder; special “adopted” granddaughter, Ayla Jenkins of Natchitoches; great granddaughters, Riley Knippers of Haughton, Amileigh Jamerson of DeRidder and Paislee Jamerson of DeRidder; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Kip Delatin, Ben Kennedy, Stephen Taylor, Josh Jenkins, Bobby Slaydon and Jacob McComic. Honorary pallbearers were Tony Knippers, David LaGrange and Davy LaGrange.
