Funeral services for George Warren Woodel, 84, of Clarence, were held on August 5 at Central Baptist Church with the Reverends Cecil Boswell and Jim Freeman officiating. Burial followed in the Central Baptist Cemetery in Robeline. George Warren Woodel was born on Tuesday, February 23, 1932 in Robeline. He passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at his residence in Clarence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Truly Woodel; father, Leroy Woodel; brother, Roy Woodel; wife, Dessie Simmons Woodel; and son, Van Woodel. He is survived by his wife, Millie Woodel of Clarence; daughter, Peggy Sanderson and husband, Randy, of Robeline; step-daughter, Patty Chandler and husband, Donnie, of Winnfield; step daughter, Brenda Arnold and husband, Bruce, of Benton; step-son, Chris Gallien and wife, Susan, of Youngsville; sisters, Betty Sprague of New Jersey, Trudie Lawson of Shreveport, Norma James of Shreveport, and Ann Booker of Shreveport, LA; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; one great-great grandson along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Justin Chandler, Jefferey Arnold, Darren Davis, Tim Ratcliff, Guy Dodson, Michael Lawson, Cody Ingles, and Rick Lawson. Honorary Pallbearers were the Rev.
