    Funeral services honoring the life of Tammy Thompson, 47, were held June 4 at Antioch Baptist Church in Florien with the Rev. Louis Slaughter and John Sparks officiating. Burial followed at Antioch Cemetery in Florien. Tammy was born on January 1, 1969 in Many to Patsy Miller Freeman Downs and James Freeman and passed away on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas with her family by her side. Proceeding her in death were her mother, Patsy Miller Freeman; stepfather, Henry Down; grandparents, Travis and Martha Miller; great aunt and great uncle, Closter and Minnie Lee Miller and Uncle James Larry Miller. She is survived by her husband, Marc Thompson; son, Caleb Thompson; daughter, Megan Thompson; father, James Freeman and special cousins Brian and Scott Miller. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Miller, DeWayne Slaughter, Clay Corley, Jackie Thompson, Jimmy Speight, Cleve Thompson and Chris Funderburk. Honorary pallbearers were Greg Cole and Glen Cole Rose-Neath Funeral Home Many Chapel – (318) 256-0690
