Randel Rains

Funeral services for Randel R. Rains, 71, of Zwolle, were held on May 9 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James “Buddy” Greer officiating. Burial followed in the Bayou Scie Cemetery. Randel R. Rains was born on Saturday, October 14, 1944 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Grace Home in Shreveport. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Muriel Pruitt Rains; and brother, Jerry Howard Rains He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Maxey Rains of Zwolle; son, Russell Rains and wife, Susan, of Zwolle; daughter, Shawn Rains Arthur and husband, Mickey of Lake City, Colorado; sister, Shirley Rains Greer and husband, James, of Parish, Texas; brother, Barrett Jackson Rains of Ruston; grandsons, Ethan Rains and wife, Kelsey of Zwolle, Orrin Rains of Zwolle and Cameron Reed Arthur of Lake City, Colorado; granddaughter, Lillian Rains of Zwolle; great grandson, Braxton Thomas Rains of Zwolle; special cousin, Gordon Rains of Tyler, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Jody Britt, Michael Weathy, Cade Pilcher, Cameron Arthur, Ethan Rains, Orrin Rains, Jimmy Campbell, Shane Rivers and Wade Dowden. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Procell, Roger Canafax, Gordon Rains, Lee Roy Williams and Mickey Arthur.
