Funeral services honoring the life of Helen Leggett, 84, were held on Friday, March 18 at Midway Baptist Church in Converse with the Rev. Clinton Alford officiating. Burial followed at Shiloh Cemetery in Converse. The family received friends at Midway Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 16 until the funeral. Helen Leggett was born in LaSalle Parish, Louisiana, to James and Annie Methvin and passed away with her family by her side. Preceeding her in death were her husband, Tommy Leggett; parents, James and Annie; sister, Carolyn Jones; brother, Marvin Methvin; sons, Alex and Jerry Leggett; and daughter, Lavern Leggett. Those left behind to cherish his memory are her Daughters, Helen Diane Brown and husband, Harvey, and Carol Jean Remedies; son, Tommy (Buster)Leggett and wife, Laura, and Carlton Leggett; sisters, Jessie Wiggins, Jimmie Ann McIlwain, and Sarah Butler; brothers, James A. Methvin Jr. and Guy Methvin; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
