Funeral services for Benjamin Columbus Isgitt, Jr., 87, of Belmont, were held on Thursday, March 17 at 10 a.m. at Union Baptist Church in Belmont with the Reverends Glen Howard and Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Belmont Cemetery. Visitation began on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Union Baptist Church in Belmont. Benjamin Columbus Isgitt, Jr. was born on Friday, April 06, 1928 in Sabine Parish, LA. He passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Desoto Regional Medical Center in Mansfield. He was a member of Union Baptist Church in Belmont and worked as a mechanic for Willamette Industries for over 47 years. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for Belmont for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Columbus Isgitt, Sr., and Beulah Corley Isgitt. He was one of 15 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Haley Isgitt of Belmont; son, Ben Larry Isgitt and wife, Cheryl, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Brenda Isgitt Duraso and husband, Jimmy, of Belmont; son, Allen Isgitt and wife, Vicki, of Many; son, Richard Isgitt and wife, Marcia, of Belmont; son, Bobby Isgitt and wife, Janice, of Belmont; sisters, Rachel Free of Shreveport and Kathryn Ann Rozell of Baytown, Texas; brothers, Jimmy Dan Isgitt of Shreveport and Donald Ray Isgitt of San Antonio, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Guthrie Sistrunk, Nate Jennings, Aaron Isgitt, Alex Isgitt, Payton Isgitt, Rusty Britt, Brandon Isgitt, and Landon Knowles. Honorary Pallbearers were Navy Britt, Austin Isgitt, Trent Chaney, and Trevor Chaney.
