    Memorial Services for Geneva Thaxton Snell, 86, of Florien, will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck. Geneva Thaxton Snell was born on Wednesday, July 3, 1929 in Florien. She passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at The Woodlands Healthcare Center in Leesville. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lynn Withers; parents, Troy C. Thaxton and Decie Jones Thaxton; brother, Vollie Thaxton; and sisters, Lovie Ann Rond, Ruby Lee Rond, Melba Grace Parker, Rebecca Hickman, and Martha Jean Foote. She is survived by her son, Hollis Dale Withers of Sulphur, Oklahoma; daughter, Freda Janette Withers Michaud of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Stephenie Lyn Poston Adams of Moline, Illinois, Noelle Poston Dortlon of Houston, Texas, Lisa Michele Withers of Sulphur, Oklahoma and Joseph Dale Withers and wife, Karie of Sulphur, Oklahoma; brother, Mackie Cecil Thaxton and wife, Barbara of Fisher; nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.warrenmeadows.com
