Lawrence “Bud” Edward Shaw Jr., 76, passed away Saturday morning, January 9, 2016, in his home. Lawrence was born in Bethany, Missouri, to Lawrence Edward Sr. and Lula Mae Slusher Shaw. He retired from the United States Army, he was a Sgt. 1st class, a veteran of the Vietnam War with 2 tours. He was a member of the D.A.V. in Toledo Town, the V.F.W. in Leesville, and the American Legion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Linda Shaw of Hemphill, Texas; son, Mike Shaw and wife, Cindy of Benton, Arkansas; daughters, Wanda Willis and wife, Andy, of Lufkin, Texas, and Sherry Cook of Leesville; brother, Jim Shaw and wife, Doris Mae, of New York; grandchildren, Joseph and wife, Bridget, Jennifer and husband, Kunta, Lil Mike, Stephanie and husband, Chris, Willie and wife, Terri, James and wife, Jessica, Lawrence and wife, Tammy, Larry, Crystal, James and wife, Jenna, and Staci and husband, Dylan and great grandchildren, Carly, Callie, Logan, Mya, Adrian, Antonio, Madison, Alexis, Bailee, Sadie, Rylee, Bradlee, Baylee, Jayden, James Jr., Cypher, Courtland, Colton, Raini, Mallory and McKenzie. Funeral Service were January 13 in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, in Leesville.
