Funeral Services for Jerry Wayne Alford, 73, of Many were held December 17 at Friendship Baptist Church in Many with Bros. Gary Allen and James Tidwell officiating. Burial followed in the Friendship Baptist Cemetery in Many. Jerry Wayne Alford was born on Thursday, November 26, 1942 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at his residence in Many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Eula Ramsey Alford; wife, Sharlet and granddaughter, Amanda Alford. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Alford of Many; son, Kevin Alford and wife, Jackie, of Many; daughter, Trina Gentry and husband, Keith, of Many; brother, Truette Alford and wife, Sue, of Florien; grandchildren, Andrew Alford and wife, Rachel, of Many, Laura Hovermale and husband, Chris, of Florien, Makenzie Alford of Many, Ryan Gentry and wife, Terra, of Belmont and Jeremy Gentry and wife, Lauren, of Many; honorary grandchild, Pete Gentry; five great grandchildren, Ayden Hovermale, Mayzlie Hovermale, Kendall and Braylan Alford and Rylie Gentry; honorary great grandchild, Landon Hovermale; lifelong friends, George and Sherry Strickland along with a special host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were Andrew Alford, Chris Hovermale, Ryan Gentry, Jeremy Gentry, Pete Gentry and John Wayne McCormic. Honorary pallbearers were special friends, George Strickland and Dale Britt.
