Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Iris Marie McPhearson, 101, were at Jennings Chapel in Marthaville with the Rev. David Hill officiating. A graveside service followed at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville led by Dr. Jeff Jinks. Iris was born in Sabine Parish on August 27, 1914 to Jonah and Lizzy Weeks and passed away on December 1, 2015 at DeSoto Regional Hospital, in Mansfield. Preceding Iris in death were her parents Jonah and Lizzy Jones Weeks; husband, R.C. McPhearson; sons, Rickey Lynn McPhearson, Clyde McPhearson, and Paul Dean McPhearson and five siblings. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, William Henry McPhearson and wife, Yvonne; daughter-in-laws, Nancy McPhearson, and Lurline McPhearson; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren with one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews. Those honoring the life of Grannie as pallbearers were Joshua Blakley, Jody Blakley, Dale McPhearson, Brian McPhearson, Brandon Isgitt, Mike Campbell, Trent Soileau, and Shane Miller.
