Lewis Dave Maupin, 74, a part time resident of Many passed away November 13, 2015 at his home at Toledo Bend. Lewis was born in Ashland Kentucky on February 9, 1941, and after graduation from Brewster High School, he spent four years in the US Navy. After getting out of the Navy, he worked at Diebold for 30 years in Canton, Ohio. He always wanted to learn more, so took several college courses to be an electrician and took auto-cad to be able to design on the computer. He enjoyed many hobbies during his lifetime including computers and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth of the home; daughter, Sandy Sams and husband, Greg, of Canton Ohio; sons, William Maupin and wife Betty, of Many and Mike Maupin of Canton, Ohio; sister, Gail Slabaugh of Massillon, Ohio; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lorene Jones Maupin; brothers, Roy and Chuck Maupin; sister, Virginia Schroeder; infant sister, Elizabeth and great grandson, Caleb Nolan. Cremation and private services will take place according to his wishes under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
