Funeral services for James Clyde Mitchell, 80, of Many were held November 18 at Rocky Mount Methodist Church in Robeline. Interment followed in the church cemetery. James was born on April 9, 1935 in Sabine Parish. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 16, 2015 at Sabine Retirement and Rehab Center in Many. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe Mitchell, Sr. and Arbie Broadway Mitchell; brother Ray Mitchell and daughters Charolette Mitchell and Angela Mitchell. He is survived by sons Jeffery Mitchell and wife, Valerie, Grady Mitchell and wife, Sherry, Stanley Mitchell and Chucky Mitchell; daughters Freddie Jean Cain, Kim Davis and husband, Glen; sisters, LaVerne Colston and husband, W. D., Eloise Hebert and husband, Ray, Evelyn Gary and husband, Mike, Betty Jennings and husband, Dale, and Brenda Townsend and husband, Danny; brothers C.W. Mitchell and wife, Debbie, Vernon Mitchell and wife, Sheila, DeWayne Mitchell and wife, Cindy, and Joe Mitchell, Sr. and wife, Carita; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
