Nancy Ryals Thomas, 71, of Converse was born Aug. 31, 1944 and passed away Sept. 13, 2015. Funeral services honoring her life were held Sept. 16 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with the Rev. Jimmy Price officiating. Burial followed in Noble Cemetery in Noble. Nancy retired after 25 years as a beautician doing what she loved “Twisting Hair.” After her retirement she proudly served Sabine Parish for 10 years as the Women’s Warden. Preceding Nancy in death were her parents, Bernard and Wynona Ryals. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, William Thomas; son, William “Barney” Thomas and wife, Cathy; daughters, Deborah Leatherwood and husband, Donny, and Donna Richardson and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Breech, Josh, Jessica, Holly, Hannah, Kyle, Ben, Aaron, Brittany and Sarah and six great grandchildren. Honoring the life of Nancy as pallbearers were Breech Leatherwood, Aaron Thomas, Ben Richardson, Kyle Richardson, Mike Thomas and Noonie Hicks.
