Celebration of life and going home service for Mary Jane Crittenden, 71, of Florien was held Sept. 18 at Rose-Neath Many Chapel with the Reverends James Hickman and Charles Pennington officiating. Interment followed at Pine Knot Cemetery in Fisher. Mrs. Crittenden was born April 27, 1944, in Plain Dealing to John and Jewel Frances Love and entered into her eternal resting place on Sept. 14, 2015 in Decatur, Texas. During her lifetime, she married the love of her life, Jim Crittenden in February of 1966 in Marshall, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who tried to see the good in everyone and opening her home and heart to anyone who needed it. She retired from Wal-Mart after over 25 years of service. Preceding her in death were husband, Jim Crittenden; daughter, Kellie Crittenden and parents. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Jimmy Dean Crittenden of Florien, Chris and Kathey Crittenden of Katy, Texas, Daymon and Tammie Crittenden of Alvord, Texas, Bart Crittenden of Florien and Brian Crittenden of Florien; sister, Barbara and Benny Carswell of Dubach; brother, John “Sonny” Love and wife, Lynn of Phillipenes (Saipan) and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Serving as pallbearers were Daymon Crittenden, Bart Crittenden, Jimmy Crittenden, Brian Crittenden, Gaylon Spears, Terrell Spears, and Jim Goodman. Honorary pallbearer was Chris Crittenden.
