Funeral services for Claudine Jacobs, 90, were held Sept. 1, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with the Rev. Dana Casey officiating. Burial followed in the Springridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Claudine was born Dec. 30, 1924 in Mansfield, to Willie Truman Golden. She was the oldest of 11 children, 2 surviving her Jim L. Golden, Jr. and Sherry Ebarb. Preceding her in death are her husband, John M. Jacobs, Sr.; sons, John “Bud” Jacobs, Jr. and James W. “Jake” Jacobs; daughter, Elizabeth Freeman; grandchildren, Tim Jacobs, Kenny Freeman and Melinda Freeman and great grandson Christopher Jacobs. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Ann Wilson and husband, Al, Cecil Jacobs and wife, Barbara, Wayne Jacobs and wife, Lorraine, Barbara Hammett and husband, Jack, Eugene Jacobs and wife, Melva, Ray Jacobs and Janet Behan and husband, Steve; 31 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren; 24 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Honoring the life of Claudine Jacobs as pallbearers were Raymond Behan, Joe Jacobs, Justin Volk, James Jacobs, Glynn Ott and Jeff Ott.
