Carolyn Sue Shoemaker Ensinger, born Feb. 23, 1951 in Robeline, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015. A home going service to celebrate her life was held Aug. 14 at Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Robeline, with the Reverends Brian Jennings, Jonathan Leach and T.J. Boyd officiating. Interment followed at Lambert Town Cemetery in Robeline, LA. Carolyn loved her family and friends and her most cherished times were those spent with her family. Carolyn was an active member of Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church who enjoyed family vacations, fishing and drinking coffee. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lizzie Carnline Shoemaker; brother, Charles Raymond Shoemaker and nephew, Shad DeLane Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Oscar W. Ensinger of Natchitoches; son, Kevin W. Ensinger of Natchitoches; daughter, Brandy Ensinger Warren and husband, Jason of Robeline; brothers, Clyde Shoemaker, Bobby Shoemaker, and Clifford Shoemaker all of Robeline and Kenneth W. Shoemaker and wife, Sarah, of Natchitoches; sister, Ruthie Lee Shoemaker Taylor of Robeline; grandchildren, Shannon Warren, Grace Warren and Rayleigh Warren all of Robeline; aunts, Ellen Lewis of Carencro and Esther Campbell and husband, Troy, of Belmont and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers were Greg Armond, Derek Campbell, Albert Wayne Carnline, Toby Carnline, Doug Ensinger, Kerry Rawls, James Dale Shoemaker and Terry Shoemaker. Honorary Pallbearers were Jerry Ray Carnline, Bobby Chester, Ivan Ensinger, Jr., and Max Ensinger. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of University Health in Shreveport for their kindness and care.
