    Funeral Services for Adam Franklin Powell, 33, of Marthaville, were held Aug. 20 at Old Pisgah Baptist Church in Belmont with the Reverends Jim Freeman, Jimmie Price and Dean Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Adam Franklin Powell was born on Monday, Jan. 18, 1982 in Shreveport. He passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 at his residence in Marthaville. He is survived by his parents, Benny and Karen Powell of Pleasant Hill; fiancée, Savannah Anderson of Marthaville; son, Jaxton Adam Powell of Marthaville; brothers, William Patrick Jacobs and wife, Belinda, of Pflugerville and Zachary Alan Powell and wife, Gabrielle, of Slidell along with a host of family and friends. Pallbearers were Kayne Martin, Kirk Martin, Landon Knowles, Jacob Gaspard, Chris Hough and Greg Hough. Honorary Pallbearers were Bill Locke, Michael Locke and Curtis Locke. “In lieu of flowers, donations can be made that will be set aside in a fund for Adam and Savannah’s son, Jaxton, for future education and care.” Online condolences may be made to the family at www.warrenmeadows.com
