Mattie Free

Funeral services honoring the life of Mattie “Joe” Free, 93, were held Aug. 18 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield with the Rev. Lon Almeida officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse. Joe was born Aug. 21, 1921 in Pleasant Hill to Wiley and Margaret Odum Free and passed away Aug. 15, 2015 in Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Reba Wiley and Wila Litton. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her niece, Beth McComic and husband, Don; nephews, Marcus Litton and wife, Camille, and Randy Litton and wife, Jan; great nieces, Susie and Leslie; great nephews, Nicholas and Donald and wife, Heather; great-great niece, Ashley and great-great nephew Tyler.
