    Funeral Services for Velma Mae Oxley, 86, of Florien, were held July 7 at the Warren Mead-ows Funeral Home Chapel, Many with Brother Bobby Russell of-ficiating. Burial followed in the Warren Cemetery in Fisher.Velma Mae Oxley was born on Friday, Aug. 17, 1928 in Sa-bine Parish. She passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Louisi-ana Extended Care Hospital in Natchitoches.She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Leo-na Mitchell Knippers; husbands, Edward Lorin Hardy and Her-bert Oxley; sister, Marie Sparks and brother, J.C. Knippers.She is survived by daughter, Marilyn Hardy of Florien; grand-son, Michael Bo Wilson and wife, Kari, of Florien; granddaughter, Lindsey Windham of Florien; great grandchildren, Hannah and Maci Windham, Blaine, Ty and Toby Wilson; sister, Georgia West and hus-band, Jim, of Hornbeck; brothers, Junior Knippers and wife, Marie, of Many and Jimmy Knippers and wife, Betty Jean, of Many along with several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.warrenmeadows.com
