A memorial service honoring the lives of Bob and Millie Tanton will be held on March 28, at 2 p.m. at Warren Baptist Church. Services will be officiated by Bro. Mike Henderson and music by Melinda Knippers and Serry Garcie. Robert “Bob” Fanton was born on Jan. 7, 1933 and passed away Dec. 19, 2011. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Halley Cook and grandson, Andrew. Bob’s son, Steve, died Nov. 11, 1994. He had three sons, Dallas and Chris Fanton and Josh Goaduein and wife, Pat. Bob’s parents were killed in a boating accident. His brother had also died. Bob and Millie had many different jobs and did each one well. Mildred “Millie” Fanton was born on Aug. 28, 1938 and went home to be with God on March 13, 2015. The grandchildren, nieces and nephews were very loved by Aunt Millie. Millie was born to Jimmy and Effie Knippers Pleasant. Millie is survived by daughter, Brenda Norsworthy; step-daughter, Cindy Million; sons, Brent and Eric Million; her grandchildren; sisters, Betty Nippers and husband, Jimmy, Dorothy Anderson and husband, Glen, and Glenda Beason and husband, Sam; brothers, Jimmy R. Pleasant and wife, Charlotte, Wayne, James, Doyle, Donald and Bruce. Millie had among her many friends, Dirie McDonald, Betty Dees and Alvin Craig. She also had many cousins and three “special” pets, Piper, Tiny and Tommy. May those who cared for her at the nursing home and hospitals be blessed.
