Van Alsbrook, Jr., 87, a native of Homer and a resident of Houma passed away on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Religious Services were held Jan. 21 at Falgout Funeral Home burial following in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray. He is survived by his wife, Faye Alsbrook; sons, Lt. Col. Michael Wayne Alsbrook and wife, Lindy and Van Joseph Alsbrook and wife, Sandy; daughters, Vanessa Alsbrook Valure, Laura Alsbrook Landry and husband, Kurt and Ruth Ann Alsbrook Anderson; grandchildren, Cody, Rainey and husband, Robert, Beki, Summer and fiancé, Josh, Blythe and husband, Tim, and Harley; great grandchildren, Skye, Lexie, Cheyanne, Sean, Davanee, Joshua, Jr., Salvatore, Robert V and Daniel and sister, Louise Sweeney and husband, Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Van Alsbrook, Sr. and Laura Alsbrook; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Alsbrook; great grandchild, Cody, Jr. and sister, Mavis Austin. Van enjoyed his 20 plus years of retirement living and fishing at Toledo Bend with his loving wife of 56 years. He loved attending Noble Baptist Church and worshipping the Lord with his many friends. He never met a stranger. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
