    Funeral Services for Katherine Self, 96, of Natchitoches, were held Jan. 20 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with the Rev. Clarence Chism officiating. Burial followed in the Prospect Cemetery in Florien. Katherine Self was born on Monday, Feb. 18, 1918 in Sabine Parish. She passed away on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at her residence in Natchitoches. She was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Jessie Pruitt Sandel; her husband, Harry E. Self and sisters, Mary Anderson and Sammie Morales. She is survived by son, Charles C. Self and wife, Mary Anne, of Valenzia, Calif; grandson, David Christopher Self of California; granddaughter, Suzanne M. Cho of California; sisters, Addison Baxter of Natchitoches and Jesse V. Grimes of Pasadena, Texas; seven great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers were David Self, Carlos Morales, Bradley Goodman, Eric Baxter, Brandt Baxter and Bobby Anderson. Honorary pallbearer was Ray Self.
