Services for Shirley Jean Hubbard, 78, of Zwolle were held, Jan. 11 at the First Baptist Church in Zwolle. Interment  followed in the Belah Cemetery in Jena. Officiating was the Rev. Jerry Penfield and assisted by the Rev. Wade Penfield. Mrs. Hubbard was born in Sterlington to John Lloyd Wishum and Ruby Jagers Wishum. She entered into rest on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. She was a licensed florist in Sabine Parish for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe I. Hubbard; and is survived by sons, John Dwaine Hubard and wife, Kay, of Carthage, Texas, James Monroe Hubbard and wife, Melody, of Zwolle and Dennis E. Hubbard and wifen Debbien of Ft. Jessup; daughter, Katherine Irline Hubbard Jackson of Zwolle; sister, Mary Catherine Roberts and husband, Harry, of Jena; grandchildren, Leigh Erin Hubbard Galligan and husband, Bill, of Providence, R.I., McLain Monroe Hubbard, of Seneca, S.C., Edward M. Jackson and fiancée, Amber D. Martinez, of Shreveport and Alexis Martina Hubbard of Zwolle; great granddaughter, Maxine Grace Galligan; God Daughter, Brenda Frederick and God Son, Kenneth Crocker. Honoring her as pallbearers were Gary Walsh, McLain Hubbard, Garrett Walsh III, Freddie Dahlem, Kenneth Crocker, Mike Frederick. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Asseff and John Asseff.
