Coy Holcomb

Funeral Services for Coy Holcomb, 73, of Florien, were held on Monday, Dec. 22, at Antioch Baptist Church in Florien with Bros. Wilton Anthony and Jimmy Speight officiating. Burial followed in the Antioch Cemetery in Florien. Coy Holcomb was born on Monday, Oct. 20, 1941 in Sumrall, Miss. He passed away on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at his residence in Florien. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rueben and Callie Kitchens Holcomb; first wife, Carolyn Salter Holcomb; siblings, Clynell Holcomb Skaggs, Ermalee Holcomb Nobles; infant brother and nephews, Jeremy Brent Salter, Anthony Holcomb and Scott Holcomb. He is survived by his wife, Jerry Holcomb of Florien; daughter, Trish Holcomb Coffey and husband, Matt, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; son, Jason Holcomb and wife, Michelle,  f Florien; step-daughter, Karen Dockens and fiancé, Thomas, of Houston, Texas; sisters, Runella Graham of Sumrall, Miss. and Jeanette Johnson and husband, J.C., of Hattiesburg, Miss.; brother, Royce Holcomb and wife, Trish of Bristol, Fla.; brother-in-law, Bobby Salter and wife. Vickey, of Florien; mother-in-law, Mertie Bell Davis of  atchitoches; grandchildren, Kyle Johnson, Troy Johnson, Caroline Grace Loar, Lynlee Faith Williams Holcomb and Landry Love McCoy Holcomb; nieces and nephews, Jenny Salter, Jerad Salter, Taylor Salter and Aidan Heredia along with a host of other nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Bobby Salter, Jerad Salter, Paul Skaggs, Matt Coffey, Thomas Siloz, Robby Lang, Johnny Corley and Barry Gross.
