Funeral services for Connie “Suzie” Jacks, 56, of Hemphill, Texas were held on Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Pendleton Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Daniel Davis officiated. Interment followed in the Randolph Cemetery. Suzie was born on Dec. 21, 1957 in Goldsboro, N.C. She entered into eternal rest on Dec. 16, 2014 in Shreveport after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Travis Earl Layfield and aunt, Myrtle Randolph. She is survived by her husband, Buck Jacks of Hemphill, Texas; mother, Bonnie Randolph Layfield of Many; sister, Brenda Shanley and husband, Jim, of Many; brothers, Tim Layfield and wife Debbie of Many, LA, Randy Layfield and wife Lawana of Many, LA; and a host of family and friends.
