Funeral services honoring the life of Barbara Branton Mc- Donald, 60, were held Friday, Nov. 21, at Union Springs Baptist
Church, in Union Springs Community, with the Rev. Rick McDonald officiating. Burial followed at Union Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Barbara was born in Shreveport to Henry and Lorene Beshea Branton, Jr. and passed away in Leesville with her family by her side. She was devoted to her family and followed her husband for 23 years of U. S. Army service and always settled her family right in and made it feel like home. One of the highlights of her life was her grandchildren. Barbara enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts. Barbara was always known for putting others before herself even to the point of taking care of her sister with ALS for a number of years. Preceding Barbara in death were her father, Henry Edward Branton, Jr.; grandson, Jerry Ray McDonald and sister, Darlene Ann Branton. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years, Jerry McDonald; son, Jerry A. McDonald; daughter, Teresa Williams and husband, Lorin; mother, Lorene Beshea Branton; sister, Shirley Tanner; brother, Gary Branton and wife, Cathy; grandchildren, Kaitlynn  McDonald, Justin Williams, Brandon Williams, Emily Mc- Donald and Journi McDonald and a host of nieces and nephews.
